Technical equipment of the user TBZ The Free State of Bavaria is legally obliged to monitor tunnels longer than 400m in a permanently manned location. This service is currently provided by the federal government's Autobahn GmbH the Free State of Bavaria in accordance with RE ING Part 3, for the tunnels on federal and state roads as well as other telematic systems until the company's own operational capability has been established. Against this background, a new tunnel operations center (TBZ) is to be built in Bavaria will take on these tasks in the future.
