The Energy Transition Support Program in Benin is a sectoral budgetary support program for the benefit of the Government of the Republic of Benin. The main objective of this program is to accelerate the energy transition to Benin, including the reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG) provided by the contribution determined at the national level (CDN).
Additional support for this program provides for a market for technical support services in order to achieve specific objectives, namely:
• Press the implementation of the sectoral reform, operationalization regulatory provisions and sectoral governance in favor of equal access to effective, sustainable, sustainable,
• Increase the participation of the private sector in the financing of investments for equal access to effective, sustainable and modern energy, the promotion of efficiency energy and job creation, especially for young people and women.
• Increase the equal access of the entire population to electricity, particularly from renewable sources and improved and inclusive technical solutions.
• Increase energy efficiency at long of the energy cycle (production, transport, distribution and consumption).
