Qualifications and Competency mix
It is anticipated that the bidder would establish a focused team of national and international specialist(s) with the following professional profile or similar competency:
• Environmental specialist / laboratory specialist / chemical engineer, with
professional background in identifying and designing waste management needs and procedures health care facilities
• Environmental specialist / Public Health and other relevant qualifications
• Pharmaceutical and/or Supply chain specialist with relevant working experience in the field of health products waste management.
Past professional experience and work:
• Extensive experience in health care waste management; hazardous
chemicals/waste management and disposal, environmental risk assessment and management, etc:
• Thorough knowledge of the international benchmarks in legislation and
management of hazardous waste;
• International experience and extensive knowledge of principles of health care management;
• Experience in supporting comprehensive waste management systems in low
resource settings;
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trainings
Language skills
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English are essential
