Overview
The objective of this RFQ is to enable the upgrade of the existing solar radiation data and the extension of the geographical coverage for solar resource measurement for Mauritius, Rodrigues and the Outer Islands. There is at the moment no publicly available solar map to enable PV project promoters to estimate power production from Solar PV facilities. For proper planning of PV systems, availability of an online, updated solar map for Mauritius, Rodrigues and Agalega is crucial.
This RFQ exercise will enable the procurement of pyranometers to be used by the University of Mauritius to prepare a solar map for the Republic of Mauritius.
