Tenders are invited for Supply and Laying of Synthetic Turf and Construction of Tiers at Law Kwan Football Ground, Chebel, Beau Bassin

Supply and lay geotextile prior to laying of the synthetic turf. Contractor to submit specification of geotextile.
Supply and install Green fields synthetic turf – 5/8 gauge, 100 polyethylene monofilament, UV resistant, Dtex 11000-13800, 130microns using 100% PP thoibac with fibre lock fleece, uv stabilized 164 grm/m2 with a fibre glass rotary weave of 143 grm/m2, pile height 50-60mm, yarn weight 1060 grm/m2, with drainage holes, total weight 2697 grm/m2, Colour field green and/or olive green including rubber chips, 2mm to 4mm silica sand of 35mm thick to stabilise the turf, Forbo Glue and tape or any acceptable equivalent alternative.
Sample and synthetic Turf warranty certificate for at least 5 years to be submitted with the bid.
Supply and fixing of 2 Nos Goal Post with netting prior to laying the synthetic turf. Design and dimension to be same as existing.
Line Marking
Supply of paint and marking of football pitch.
Contractor to submit proposal for approval of marking by the Engineer.
Note: paint and methodology of applying line marking to be approved by Engineer. Marking to be done prior to spreading rubber chip and silica sand.

Drainage
An efficient and effective underground drainage system that will divert the water that percolates through the turf.
The purpose of pitch drainage is to remove surface water from the football pitch to prevent flooding and make sure no excess water builds-up within the underlying base which can potentially damage the structure. The contractor to cater for lateral drainage under the pitch connecting into the rosacometta perimeter drain and to be discharged into soakaways and chamber.
Supply and install rosacometta drain 200mm wide x 300mm deep to required slope, infilled with aggregate 4-6mm all-round the pitch and which is to be connected to the internal drainage system. (PROVISIONAL)
Supply and install lateral drains 200mm wide x 200mm to be laid to required slope, infilled with aggregate 4-6mm and to be covered with concrete slabs at intervals of 1.5m and which is to be connected to the perimeter drainage system. (PROVISIONAL)
Construct chamber 600mm x 600mm with concrete infilled block 200mm, rendering to internal and external surfaces and a light duty manhole cover to be connected to the soak away. (PROVISIONAL)
Soakaway
Excavate in any materials and construct soakaway 10m x 2m x 2m deep with selected fill as approved by Engineer, including precast concrete kerb on concrete bedding 100mm thick all around. (PROVISIONAL)
Allow for connection of the chamber to the rosacometta drain and to the soakaway with PVC pipe 200mm dia. Rate to include for excavation works, concreting works and other associated works. (PROVISIONAL)

The Bidder is advised to visit and inspect the Project Site. Bidder shall make his own assumptions with regard to hidden elements in his pricing of items in this Bill, such as topography, slope in terms of size, type and depth
Setting out and Excavation at the required depth in any material including rock and hard material including compacting bottom of excavations as required for bases and strip footing, all to engineer’s approval and specification including carting away of surplus materials.

Blinding layer 50mm thick on bottom of excavations with concrete grade 15. Sum
Reinforcement bars to MS/10 BS4449
Formwork in class 2 finish, strutting at/from any level and including rebates or groove formers, as described.
Strip Footing and bases as per drawing including all necessary formwork, reinforcement bars and concrete grade 30. Sum
Reinforced blockwork 150 mm from foundation to reinforced concrete slab (to be used as seat) Sum
Columns from base to slab as per drawing including all necessary formwork, reinforcement and concrete grade 30. Columns to be constructed at interval of approximately 3m (all along walls of tiers) Sum
Backfilling with approved materials free from organic matter below hardcore inside tiers and up to finished level (soffit of slab to be use as seat). Sum
Hardcore filling of sound hardstone of max. size not exceeding 150 mm and compacted in layers not exceeding 250 mm (under slab to be use as seat). Sum
Crusher run of thickness 100 mm thick well watered and compacted (under slab to be use as seat). Sum

RENDERING WORKS
The graded seats to be rendered to smooth cement: rocksand (1:3) screed finish, rounded at edges.
All concrete parts and blockwalls (inner and outer facades) to be screeded – smooth screed finish.

Galvanised metal barriers (approx. height 1.0m to be provided at both ends of graded seats.
Paint to be applied to all metal barriers. Sum
