Description: The objective of this advisory mission is to help the Beninese government develop a coherent industrial strategy to promote the electrification of mobility in Benin and capitalize on the economic opportunities relating to the related value chain. In particular, the study on the electrification of 2 wheels identified potential industrial opportunities relating to: (i) the local assembly of electric motorcycles, (ii) the scrapping and recycling of thermal motorcycles, (iii) ) the recycling of electric motorcycle batteries, (iv) the deployment of electric motorcycle charging solutions. In addition, the local manufacturing of protective equipment for two-wheel users could also represent an interesting industrial opportunity.
