In the context of coin matters, the procurement of coin plates for the later minting of circulation and commemorative coins (euro) at the five state mints (Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Hamburg) and the supply of circulation money to the Deutsche Bundesbank is of great importance. The Coin tokens to be transported are packed in coin transport containers (metal containers). The future contractor is responsible for the storage, maintenance, repair and scheduling of the coin transport container inventory and, if necessary, the replacement coin transport containers for the client (wooden boxes or armored cartons) as well as the transport of the coin plates from the manufacturers of the coin plates to the individual mints (Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Hamburg), transport between the five state mints and the return transport of the empty coin transport containers via the transport company to be commissioned for the respective contract year and to monitor the transports. Storage, specification and inventory management are based on 6, 000 coin containers (MTB) per year and inventory and replacement procurement on 400 MTB per year placed. Up to 250 transports should be taken into account for scheduling and transport monitoring. A total of 200 hours are estimated annually for maintenance, repairs and cleaning of the MTB.
