The services under this project are to carry out the design review of selected and agreed water treatment and distribution centres, tertiary pipelines, preparation of preliminary designs, detailed designs of selected treatment and distribution centres, distribution networks and a FSTU (50, 000 persons capacity). The services will include developing final designs, drawings, construction details, cross-sections, bill of quantities, cost estimates, technical specifications, tender documents, and operation and maintenance manuals. The designs will adhere to relevant Zambian, regional, and international standards and guidelines. The supervision of works will be carried out for the rehabilitation of Mulungushi water treatment plant, construction of tertiary water transmissions mains and distribution centers, distribution networks including service reservoirs, FSTU and all the related works within the selected project area or settlements.
