Tender Details
The Mainfranken Theater Wuerzburg, a company owned by the city of Wuerzburg, is currently carrying out the renovation and expansion of the Mainfranken Theater Wuerzburg. This is divided into two construction phases.
Construction phase 1 started in the summer of 2018. This construction phase includes the new construction of a headBuilding with a performance venue called "Little House" (theater hall with 330 seats), foyer areas, ballet room, rehearsal stages and an independent restaurant. The opening took place on December 2nd, 2023. Since that day, gaming operations have been in the head building with its venues (smallhouse, rehearsal stage) as well as rehearsals in the house.
Construction phase 2, which began in summer 2020, includes the renovation and expansion of the former existing building with the large house (theater hall with originally 738 seats, with a full stage and orchestra pit) and backstage areah, the additional new construction of an orchestra rehearsal hall and a costume workshop and other theater functional areas. Construction phase 2 is currently under construction. The shell construction is expected to be completed in the course of 2024.
The contractual relationship with the technical planning specialistThe engineering office responsible for the technical equipment and previously commissioned with all service phases was terminated in July 2023, which is why a new office is being sought for the remaining specialist planning and construction supervision/support of the technical equipment.
