Short description of special foundation engineering for the tenderProject: Extension of the Olching elementary school, Martinstr. 3 and 7, 82140 Olching Client: City of Olching, Building Authority Subject of the service: Construction of excavation pits and shoring measures, dewatering. Subject of the The tender is for the special foundation engineering work to create the excavation pit for the new extension to the Olching primary school. Due to the high groundwater level and limited space on the inner-city construction site, the measure includes securing the construction pit using sheet piling and jet injection underpinning of the existing buildings, temporary anchoring and a closed groundwater lowering using drilled wells. The excavation takes place in groundwater in Quaternary gravel subsoil (kf ≈ 7×10⁻³ m/s). The resulting pumped water is discharged into the Mühlbach, approx. 220 m away.
