Sealed bids for the Sidewalk Replacement Project will be received by the City Clerk's Office, until 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday January 28, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in Council Chambers, City Hall, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131. Two copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Sidewalk Replacement, date, and time of opening clearly written on the envelope.The Scope of Work consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 6, 200 SF of concrete sidewalk slabs in Dougherty Lake and Four Winds Farm subdivisions. Special articulating joints will be installed at approximately 98 locations. The scope may be reduced in order to stay within the budget if necessary. Slabs to be replaced will be marked prior to the start of work by City Staff, as will articulated control joints. Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications. It is anticipated that work will start in April/May 2026, as weather allows.Bid packages will be available Monday January 5, 2026 from the Des Peres City Clerk, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131 or they can be downloaded immediately by visiting http://www.desperesmo.org/bids.aspxNot less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
