Tenders are invited for Services of an Individual Consultant Specializing in the Promotion of Investment Opportunities

The Government of the Republic of Mali has received funding from the African Development Bank Group to cover the cost of the Malian Economy Competitiveness Support Project (PACEM), and intends to use a part of the sums granted under this grant to finance the service contract of a senior specialist individual consultant in promotion of investment opportunities in the livestock sector on behalf of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments in Mali (API-Mali).

The services provided under this contract will generally provide API-MALI with the necessary human resources to achieve its objectives according to the best international standards.

More specifically, the purpose of the mission is to support IPY frameworks in general and the livestock promotion officer in particular by an international expert in promoting livestock-related opportunities. The support of this expert will enable API-MALI to implement the missions and objectives contained in its Business Plan (2016-2018).

The period envisaged for the start of services is October 2019.

The Malian Economy Competitiveness Support Project (PACEM) invites individual Consultants, with a degree in agro-silvo-pastoral resource management, livestock engineer or veterinarian, or a related field at the BAC + level. At least 5 years to apply for the services described above. Interested consultants must provide information on their ability and experience demonstrating that they are qualified for the services (motivation letter, certified copies of diplomas, curriculum vitae, reference of similar services, experience in comparable assignments, availability, etc.).

The eligibility criteria, the shortlisting and the selection procedure will be in line with the " Procurement Framework for Bank Group-financed Operations ", October 2015 edition of the African Development Bank, which is available on the Bank's website at http://www.afdb.org . It should be noted that the interest expressed by an individual Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Project to Support the Competitiveness of the Malian Economy (PACEM) to include it on a shortlist.

The total duration of the service will extend over a period of three (03) years.
