Realization and operation of a traffic management system with a strategy workstation According to Section 53a Paragraph 1 No. 3 and 4 of the Baden-Württemberg Road Act, the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg (VM) fulfills “tasks that are to be carried out centrally throughout the state Roads” among others •“Traffic management”, • “Planning, construction and control of traffic-influencing systems”, •“Operational monitoring of the tunnel systems”, •as well as the necessary “construction and operation of the traffic and tunnel control center”, in Area of ​​roads subject to state or federal construction burden. In order to fulfill the legal mandate, the VM is currently planning, in addition to setting up a traffic management center (VMZ), also the implementation of a traffic management system (VMS BW) as a central operational system for dynamic regional traffic management. The present award procedure involves the production of IT components consisting of a “traffic management system” with a “strategy workstation” for the planned VMS BW as well as the operation of the manufactured/developed IT components by the contractor as well as the provision of the IT components for use by the client.
