The IHP-GmbH is a member of the Leibniz Association an internationally established research institute for semiconductor technology. At the Frankfurt (Oder) location, the institute also operates Office workplaces a large number of specialized laboratories for basic research as well as a high-availability clean room building for wafer preparation.
Ten refrigeration machines from the manufacturers Rhoss, McQuay, OPK, York and are currently used to supply the building structure with air conditioning and to provide process cooling Ruetgers with a total output of 6.9 MW was used. This portfolio is supplemented by an absorption refrigeration machine from Carrier with 340 kW cooling capacity. The supply network also includes several cooling tower systems, which are also the subject of the award.
For the period From January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2029, the complete technical service of these systems must be outsourced to an appropriately qualified specialist company. For cooling towers 1 and 2, a different service start date of January 1, 2027 applies. The bidders have suitable professional qualifications and reliable references for the types of systems described. The required expertise expressly also includes the ability to properly operate manufacturer-specific system features and to resolve faults efficiently.
