A university heart center is being rebuilt at the Heidelberg University Hospital. Within the clinic site in Neuenheimer Feld in the ongoing clinic of the Heidelberg University Hospital, on the site around the old children's clinic. In the new heart center, cardiology, angiology, are Cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiology, children's heart surgery and the cardio-anesthesia of the Heidelberg University Hospital. Through interdisciplinary cooperation and innovations, synergies and added value in care and research are generated. Directly Integrated and functionally closely connected in the new building of the heart center, the scientific field of informatics for life (IFL). By focusing on scientific arithmetic in cardiovascular molecular research, progress in personalized cardiac medicine in Germany realized.
