Atomic force microscope Solar simulator Procurement of an atomic force microscope for the Chair of Physical Chemistry II at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg The AFM-SECM will be the central instrument of the working group led by Prof. Dr. Siow Woon Ng, which will be established at the Chair of Physical Chemistry II and located in the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). The device will be available in current and future Projects of the working group as well as for planned initiatives in close cooperation with working groups from the fields of chemistry, physics, materials science and engineering at FAU. This call for bids concerns the supply of a solar simulator that produces the solar spectrum for applications in photoelectrochemistry, photocatalysis, and photovoltaic research. The system must be capable of both standalone operation and integration with a scanning probe microscope via a fiber optic coupling. The solar simulator must enable controlled photo-irradiation of samples from multiple directions (with respect to the samples), including top, lateral, and bottom illumination.
