Scaffolding work TP C - Redesign and expansion of the exhibition in the Old Tower of the KWG Type and scope of the construction project The guiding idea of the redesign and expansion of the exhibition in the Old Tower is the reduction of the building elements inside in favor of one Reinforcing the existing atmosphere. The main exhibition object is the ruins of the Old Tower itself. Instead of new, dominant architectural interventions, the conceptual focus is on the opening of those that were added after the end of the war and the atmosphere disturbing installations are provided. The sculptural monument is to be further developed into a walk-in memorial with an extraordinary spatial light and sound production, emphasizing the ruin character of the building. The production should “Openly show” the drama of the war damage and enable an experience of the building through the elements of light, water, wind and sound. The purpose and necessity of the construction measures are sustainable security and the improvement of national and international visibility of the historical and current significance of the listed ensemble. The scaffolding work is being carried out on the listed tower ruins of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin.
