DECDI: Development Impact (DECDI)is a department of the World Bank-s Development Economics Vice Presidency(DEC). DECDI-s objective is to increase the use of impact evaluation (IE) inthe design and implementation of public policy, to (i) improve World Bank andother MDB funded development projects and public policy to deliver betteroutcomes, (ii) strengthen country institutions for evidence - based policymaking and (iii) generate knowledge in strategic development areas. Withengagements in over 60 countries across 200 agencies, leveraging a US$180million research budget to shape the design and implementation of US$18 billionin development finance, DECDI aims to overcome the challenge to identify truecause-and-effect relations in policy programs.
