Lots: Technical specification for sand Sand for the sandbox must be clean, dry, without impurities (clay, stones, shells) and meet safety standards (GOST 8736-93, SanPiN 2.4.1.3049-13). Optimal characteristics: particle size (fraction) 1-2 mm, light yellow or white color, passed sanitary and epidemiological examination. River or washed quartz sand is recommended. Hygiene (safety): Sand must be sifted, washed, and not contain harmful bacteria, dangerous impurities (sulfur, coal) and not be radioactive. Humidity: When dry, sand should be free-flowing, and when wet it should hold its shape well (molded). When purchasing sand for playgrounds (especially in preschool educational institutions), the seller is required to provide a quality certificate or passport, confirming compliance with SanPiN and safety for children.
