Route West I - District heating pipeline construction Subject lot 3.1.2: Pipe material & insulation Delivery & construction services Description: The AG operates a heating plant at Frankfurter Straße 100 in Darmstadt. The heat is primarily generated via the nearby waste-to-energy plant (hereinafter “MHKW”), delivered to the heating plant and distributed from there. A current renovation in the MHWK will enable more heat to be used in the future. In order to utilize this potential, new district heating pipelines are being built between the heating plant, the MHWK and other supply areas. For commercial, organizational and operational reasons, the entire project is divided into a northern construction phase (part lot 3.1) and a south construction phase (part lot 3.2). The civil engineering and pipe construction work in the north and south construction sections will be tendered separately. The deliveries and associated services for the plastic casing pipe laying system (KMR) will be tendered together for both construction phases.
