Thickeners (peat chips, asbestos powder, chalk) reduce fluidity and consumption, simplify application, and fiber fillers increase resistance to bending. The main function of the material is to create a waterproofing coating. After drying, it turns into a plastic monolithic coating that protects surfaces from moisture, prevents the formation of rust, extends the service life of structures. Bitumen mastic is used to form a waterproofing layer of roofs, foundations, bathrooms, and metal structures. Area of use and material characteristics depend on the composition. | Bituminous roofing type Bikrost TKP is used for roofing, repair and reconstruction of roofs, as well as waterproofing of building structures. • Base: fiberglass (letter T in the marking). • Binder: bituminous, applied on both sides. • Topcoat: coarse sanding (gray slate) (letter K). It protects the base from mechanical damage and ultraviolet radiation. • Bottom covering: protective polyethylene film (letter P).
