2. Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration branding

It was decided to work hard on the GVTC Brand. The GVTC is currently positioning itself as a high-level multilateral collaboration and a strong, clean and consistent brand is absolutely crucial to this process.

The existing GVTC brand-s effectiveness then needs to be reviewed, assessed and evaluated, considering the current trends, and the changing world and the mission and vision of GVTC to ensure brand consistency.

3. Objectives of the Consultancy

A review of the GVTC Brand aims at achieving the following objectives:

Assessment of the GVTC Branding guidelines
Establish the linkage of GVTC Communication Strategy and the GVTC Brand
Bring out what worked? What did not work? What were the challenges encountered while implementing GVTC Communication Strategy and the GVTC Brand?
Propose areas of improvement considering the current trends
Formulate recommendations for workable actions for GVTC Communication Strategy and the GVTC Branding guidelines.
4. Scope of work

4.1. Specific Tasks and Deliverables

In consultation with the GVTC program Department, the consultant will perform the following specific tasks:

Stage 1: Review, Consult and Recommend

Review the current GVTC Communication Strategy
Review the Current GVTC Brand guidelines.
Formulate recommendations for workable actions for GVTC Communication Strategy and the GVTC Branding guidelines.
Update and combine the Current GVTC Communication Strategy and GVTC Brand guidelines to make one comprehensive and updated document.
Stage 2: Validation of the updated GVTC Communication Strategy and GVTC Brand guidelines combined document.

The consultant will share the draft to GVTC staff for inputs
The Consultant will present the updated GVTC Communication Strategy and GVTC Brand guidelines combined document to the GVTC staff during a workshop to incorporate GVTC staff inputs.
Produce the final document in English and French and share the soft copy in both PDF and Word format
5. Required competencies, qualification and experience

The consultant must:

Demonstrate the ability to respectfully, effectively, and efficiently carry out the assessment/evaluation of the Existing GVTC Communication Strategy and the Brand Guidelines.
Demonstrate ability to develop flexible communication strategies and Brand guidelines and be able to adjust them based on the findings of the evaluation and the current trends.
Demonstrate effective written communication skills
Demonstrate the ability to use the feedback provided by others effectively
Proven experience and having conducted similar activities before
Demonstrate a broader understanding of the communication and information world
Demonstrate the ability to use different communication tools for behavioral changes
Demonstrate mature judgment and initiative;
Ability to present complex issues in a simple and clear manner;
Proven qualification in the information and communication field
Have a Masters degree in Marketing; communication, and creative design with proven experience in branding and communication strategy-related field for at least ten years.
