GGGI Uganda is inviting eligible suppliers/service providers for the services to the subject tender ‘Retrofitting the Makerere University Urban and Physical Training Centre- detailed below:

PROJECT BACKGROUND:
The above center will play a crucial role in shaping the future of cities and regions by providing expertise, research, and guidance to create more sustainable, livable, and resilient urban environments. Among the roles include providing training programs, workshops, and educational resources for urban planners, architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in urban development. These programs can help build capacity and promote best practices in the field. In addition, the centre will enable the conducting of research on urban and physical planning issues, such as transportation systems, housing affordability, environmental sustainability, and urban design. This research can provide valuable insights and data for policymakers and practitioners.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Specifically, under Outcome 1: Green City Development is pursued and developed in four (4) secondary cities, of the project, output 1.4 seeks to establish a knowledge and engagement platform at Makerere University. Acitivity 1.4.1.5 that is focused on furnishing of the Virtual learning centre office with equipment will facilitate the following;
1. Provide internal finishes, painting, and tiling.
2. Carry out walling and openings/ partitioning as may be appropriate.
3. Demolition and removal as may be appropriate.
4. Carry out general cleaning, signposts, and walkways.
5. Provide mechanical and electrical installations as may be appropriate.
