InfraStructure Neuss AöR has been operating the storm overflow basin “RÜB Raiffeisenstrasse” between the towns of Neuss-Rosellerheide and Neuss-Aller Heiligen since 1986. The mixed water from the Rosellerheide/Neuenbaum district comes together at the “RÜB Raiffeisenstraße”. The RÜB is a round basin as a flow basin in the shunt. Once the basin is full, the relieving mixed water is discharged into the Norfbach via the sewage overflow. This introduction into the Norfbach in the way currently operated and manner is no longer permitted. It was therefore decided to build a retention soil filter basin (RBF) downstream of the RÜB at the location of the "RÜB Raiffeisenstrasse" in order to limit discharge loads into the Norfbach. The location of the planned RBF is on a current arable land northeast of the Norfbach next to the existing location of the RÜB 03. So that the mixed water that relieves the sewage overflow (KÜ) of the RÜB no longer flows directly into the Norfbach in the future, the longitudinal gradient in the The sewage overflow channel was turned over and a 3 m wide opening was created at the current upper end of the sewage overflow channel in the wall of the round basin.
