Expression of Interest (EOI) are invited for Resource Development Project in Water and Sustainable Management of Ecosystems in Niger Basin.
The Republic of Niger (hereinafter called "Borrower") has received funding from the International Development Association (IDA) to finance the cost of the project Water Resources Development and Sustainable Ecosystems Management Phase II, and intent to use part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under this contract for Determination of Management structure of the future hydroelectric dam Kandadji.
(I) The objective of the study is to provide an adequate structure to: the allocation of goods and debt (identifying a property company or an equivalent solution)
(II) multi-sectoral management of water tank nationally and pelvis (identification of a management committee or equivalent solution)
(III) the operational use of the future hydroelectric plant and dam Kandadji (Operator identification or equivalent solution) .Several cases with their strengths and disadvantages are present in the study (including the possibility of participation of the sector private). The study should take into consideration the limited complexity of operating the hydro and experience in the subregion. It will also take into account lessons learned in the management of the sub-region dams. The services not include a proposed structure for the management of the transmission line Electric Kandadji / Niamey and the post of arrival in Niamey.
