Request for proposals for the Assessment, design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of the solar photovoltaic system at the UNICEF car park in Maputo The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Mozambique is seeking proposals from duly qualified companies for Assessment, design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of the solar photovoltaic system at the UNICEF car park in Maputo. The UNICEF procedure on eco-efficiency and inclusive access within its premises and operations underscores UNICEF's commitment to promoting eco-efficient practices and reducing its carbon footprint across all activities. In alignment with this commitment, UNICEF Mozambique is taking significant steps to support this agenda by gradually phasing out petrol and diesel vehicles. The office is systematically replacing its petrol and diesel fleet with electric vehicles. By the end of 2025, it is projected that the number of electric vehicles will increase to 10, substantially reducing the reliance on petrol and diesel vehicles in Maputo, significantly reducing the offices carbon footprint. This initiative includes the installation of solar panels at the vehicle parking garage within the UNICEF premises in Maputo, which will power the charging system for the office's electric vehicles. Once fully operational, the office will eliminate the use of conventional electricity for charging its vehicles, achieving 100% clean energy usage for powering its vehicles...
