The partial structure of the Pliensau Bridge over the Neckar shipping canal is in a very poor structural condition and overall in an outdated, visually unattractive condition that is inappropriate for the spatial situation. A general renovation is ruled out economical sustainable as well as for urban planning and aesthetic reasons. A replacement building is absolutely necessary.
