Planning services - property planning outdoor facilities LPH 1-9 Project description The Saar-Mosel Stadium Konz was built in its current version in 1994 and 1995 and completed in October 1995. The athletics facilities were then opened immediately handed over to the users, while the newly sown lawn was given the use-free “overwintering” recommended by the building guidelines. Since then, the stadium has been the daily sports venue for around 1, 400 students, especially from spring to autumn in the Konz school center, the training and home venue of the sports club and the training and competition site of the Konz gymnastics community. After 30 years of intensive use by clubs, school sports and, above all, national state school sports festivals the ADD and outstanding athletics championships of the Konz gymnastics community, more and more defects and damage are becoming visible. The drainage channel between the lawn and the plastic running track is so damaged that the covers can no longer be fixed and therefore pose a risk of accidents. In all likelihood, the entire gutter will have to be replaced. The entire plastic covering has now worn out and some of it even has erasers. This also applies to the areas of the high jump mats throwing ring and at the long jump facility. Therefore, the plastic covering must be removed, replaced and the lining must also be reapplied.
