The southern Melanchthonplatz exists Currently completely from public play and sports areas. The surrounding district is densely built on and is strongly under -supplied with public green spaces. The green area is currently severely restricted in terms of its recreational function and urgently due to the strong overuse in need of renovation.
The aim is to climate the northern and southern part including adjacent street space according to the principles of the To renovate the sponge city and better link the two parking areas to each other.
