Description : Description of the Advisory: RECRUITMENT OF A STUDY OFFICE TO REALIZE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT STUDIES RELATED TO THE REHABILITATION WORK ON AGRICULTURAL HIGHWAYS IN THE KALEMIE TERRITORY IN THE PICAGL AREA OF INTERVENTION: Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo solicited and obtained from the International Development Association (IDA), the financing of the Integrated Project of Agricultural Growth in theGrand-Lacs "PICAGL" and proposes to use part of these funds to make authorized payments for the recruitment of a consulting firm to carry out the environmental and social impact studies related to the rehabilitation works agricultural feeder roads in Kalemie Territory, Province of Tanganyika in the PICAGL intervention area. The development objective of the Integrated Agricultural Growth Projecte in the Great Lakes "PICAGL" is to increase agricultural productivity and improve the marketing of crop and animal production by smallholders in the targeted areas. The field operations and management of the Project are carried out in the Province from Tanganyika. As part of its mission, UNOPS needs to recruit a consulting firm whose primary mandate is to conduct environmental impact assessments andrelated to the rehabilitation of agricultural feeder roads.
