Tenders are invited for Recruitment of a National Research Office for the Update of the Forestry Policy of Cameroon

The objective to be achieved here is to update Cameroon's forest policy document, adopted in 1993.
To do so, the consulting firm should:
- Assess the level of implementation of the 1993 forest policy;
- Analyze the institutional evolution of the forest and environment sector in Cameroon over the past decades and its impact on the management of forest and wildlife resources;
- Analyze forest issues and challenges at the local, national, sub-regional (Congo Basin) and international levels that have influenced the implementation of Cameroon's forest policy;
- Carry out a prospective analysis of the evolution of environmental, social and economic issues in the forest-fauna sub-sector in connection with emerging themes;
- Assess the level of consideration of the conclusions of the above analyzes in the draft forest policy revised and transmitted to the Prime Minister Head of Government in 2012;
- Propose a vision of the forest-wildlife sub-sector for the adoption of stakeholders and deduce from it strategic axes of interventions with a view to achieving this vision on the basis of the revised forest policy project and transmitted to the Prime Minister Chief of Government in 2012;
- Formulate the key themes that should underpin Cameroon's new forest policy on the basis of the revised forest policy project transmitted to the Prime Minister Head of Government in 2012;
- Propose a new forest policy document for Cameroon;
- Ensure consistency between the new forest policy and the draft law revised and sent to the Prime Minister, Head of Government.
