How can you make a difference?
PURPOSE: To provide technical assistance to implementing partners in the implementation, monitoring and reporting of preventive and curative nutrition interventions for the survival of children. This qualified staff will work in collaboration with Provincial Health Delegations (DSPs) and District Chief Medical Officers (CDMs), Nutrition Focal Points and Health Center Managers (HSCs) to improve nutrition and health indicators at all levels. levels and build local capacity. The plan should detail all the actions to be undertaken, the expected results and the targeted areas. A format will be developed in consultation with the consultants and the nutrition team of the zone offices and N'Djamena. A training / orientation workshop will be organized for all consultants prior to their assignment in their respective area. They will be required to report regularly to Program Officers covering their area of ??assignment. Every quarter, a meeting will be organized with all the consultants for a review of the implementation, sharing of experiences and adaptation of the plan if necessary. 4. EXPECTED RESULTS 1-An environment conducive to the implementation of PCIMAS, prevention / IYCF, and other survival interventions including immunization in particular is created with support for regular provincial coordination meetings, monitoring the implementation of activities of the 2019 annual monitoring plan; 2-The quality of nutrition services is improved through capacity building of the actors in the field on PCIMAS, IYCF, micronutrients, data management and related inputs; 3-Health centers are supported to improve routine immunization coverage by reducing missed opportunities and improving cold chain management; 4-At least 90% of the activities supported by Nutrition are carried out and monitored with technical and financial reports shared within 30 days; 5-The management of nutritional inputs in the health centers is improved through the input supply of the Health Centers (CS), a post-distribution monitoring in collaboration with the operational partners (DSR, DS, CS and NGOs) and fast transmission of data on voltages / outages; 6-A mechanism for data collection / analysis and monitoring of nutrition interventions (PCIMA, prevention / IYCF) is put in place and the indicators collected, analyzed and transmitted in a timely manner; the monthly compilation of UNT / UNS monthly statistical reports is done by DS and forwarded to the CSPs by the 10th of the following month at the latest.
