Recruitment of an Individual Consultant Specialist in Environmental Safeguards for the Conduct of an Incident Investigation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CONSULTANT
The selection of the consultant will be based on the evaluation of the proposals submitted within the framework of the call for tenders. The mission will be entrusted to an individual consultant, with environmental expertise in the implementation:
§ The Consultant must have proven experience in conducting similar studies, including expertise in the development of technical documents as well as programmatic orientations relating to vulnerable and/or minority groups;
§ At least holder of a Bac+5 Higher Diploma in environmental or social sciences, legal sciences, economics, statistics, anthropology or in similar fields with at least 5 years of experience in conducting similar surveys and/or environmental audits and projects;
§ Have a good knowledge of Health and Safety issues for workers and the local community on construction sites;
§ Have knowledge of work and working conditions
§ Have a good knowledge of the Highway Code in the DRC
§ Have a good oral and written expression in French and in one of the national languages of the DRC;
§ Proven skills in designing data collection and processing tools.
4. DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The duration of the mission is twenty (20) working days.
5. RECRUITMENT METHOD
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of the Procurement Regulations for Borrowers seeking Investment Project Financing (FPI) from the World Bank dated July 2016 revised in November 2020, relating to the World Bank's rules on conflict of interest.
The FRDC invites candidates to provide an application file in French including:
1. An up-to-date detailed curriculum vitae indicating similar missions carried out and experiences,
2. A letter of motivation (2 pages maximum and in PDF) to be sent to the General Coordinator of the FSRDC.
