To mobilize the resources necessary for the implementation of its Comoros Emergent 2030 Plan and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, the Comorian Government, with the support of its development partners, particularly the UNDP and the World Bank, will is preparing to organize in December 2019, in Paris, a Conference of Development Partners (CPAD)The Comoros government`s vision for the country`s development is to make the Comoros Union "An emerging country by 2030, respectful of human rights, of gender equality and promoting the state of law ". The choice of the 2030 horizon is based on the conviction of the national authorities that a successful implementation of Agenda 2030SDGs will enable the country to join thegroup of emerging countries. The government wants to mobilize at least $ 2 billion over the course of CPAD to complete the JCP. It has requested the support of the UNDP Office to assist it in these two projects. The main objective of CPAD is to mobilize the public and privatethe implementation of the structural investment program foreseen in the ECP in line with theSDGs. Thus, the CPAD will be a privileged opportunity to: Offer the Comoros a platform to present the PCE, its economic ambitions and the means to achieve them Present the investment opportunities of the development sectors and growth sectorsto generate adequate financing, to obtain new funding commitments from traditional bilateral and multilateral development partners, to mobilize "non-traditional" and innovative sources of financing such as sovereign wealth funds, to strengthen coordination, harmonization and partnerships between the Governmentnt, bilateral and multilateral donors, SWFs, emerging countries, and private investors Access networks of international private partners and mobilize private financing for large and purely private PPP projects Establish the implementation framework and monitoring Comoros` mutual commitments with its partners.
