Expression of Interest are invited for Recruitment of a Consultant to Carry out the Study for the Review and Extension of the School Road Education Program.

1. The Government of the Republic of Côte d`Ivoire has received funding from the African Development Bank Group (ADB) to cover the cost of the Abidjan Urban Transport Project and intends to use part of amounts granted under this loan to finance the consulting services contract for the conduct of the study for the revision and extension of the school road safety program .

2.The services provided under this contract include the completion of the study for the revision and extension of the school road safety program. The tasks of the provider should include: (i) the revision of the existing road education curriculum for primary school pupils; (ii) the development of the road education curriculum for middle school students; secondary, technical and vocational; (iii) the development of teaching aids and materials for better dissemination of road school education in schools; and (iv) capacity building of the teachers of the Center for Animation and Vocational Training (CAFOP), the Ecole Nationale Supérieure (ENS) and the National Pedagogical Institute for Technical and Vocational Education (IPNETP); (v) the establishment of a regulatory system for the teaching of road education in schools.

The duration of the mission is estimated at eight (8) months.

The Road Management Agency (AGEROUTE), acting on behalf of the Ministry of Equipment and Road Maintenance, invites the Consultants / Firms to submit their application to provide the services described above. Interested Consultants must provide information on their ability and experience demonstrating that they are qualified for the services: documentation, accounting and financial audit references, experience in comparable assignments, availability of key personnel qualified in the areas of the mission, as well as any other additional information.

NB: Each reference will be summarized on a form and will be taken into account only if the candidate attaches the justifications containing the coordinates of their client allowing the possible verification of the information provided: Extract of contract (cover page and the one containing the signatures) or Certificate of good execution. Experiences with donor funded development and research projects in Africa are an asset.

4. The eligibility criteria, the shortlist and the selection procedure will be in line with the " Procurement Framework for Bank Group-financed Operations " of October 2015 which is available on the website. Bank`s website at http://www.afdb.org . The selection procedure will be the Selection Method Based on the Lowest Cost Selection (SMC).
