Expression of Interest are invited for Recruitment of Additional Staff in the Support Project for the Development of Agricultural Sectors Phase II (PADFA II).

The Republic of Cameroon is negotiating with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), for the financing and implementation of the Project to Support the Development of Agricultural Sectors Phase II (PADFA II), from 2020. Cameroon has obtained IFAD resources to prepare for the start of the Project and MINADER intends to use part of this fund to finance the recruitment of additional staff for the needs of PADFA II.

The main objective of PADFA II is to contribute to poverty reduction and the improvement of food and nutrition security of the target populations. Also, its development objective is to sustainably increase the income and resilience of family farms producing rice and onions. Its expected results include (i) an increase in the production of the targeted sectors (rice and onion); (ii) improving the conservation, processing and marketing of products; (iv) strengthening the resilience and the technical and organizational capacities of producers in these sectors; (v) improvement of the nutritional situation of households. The project will cover 4 regions, namely the North, the Far North, the West and the North West.

The Project is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER) and its management will be ensured by a Project Coordination and Management Unit (UCGP), relayed in the field by two regional offices in Maroua (for the North and Far North regions) and in Bafoussam (for the West and the North West).

Recruitment to the posts covered by this call for candidates will be in accordance with the selection procedures defined in the procurement guidelines for IFAD-funded projects and programs, adopted by the IFAD Executive Board at its 100th session in September. 2010. The said personnel will be linked to the project by annual performance contracts backed by performance indicators which will be evaluated each year before the contract is renewed.

3. Participation and origin
Recruitment for the positions covered by this call for candidates will be in accordance with the selection procedures defined in the directives for the procurement of projects and programs financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), adopted by the IFAD Board of Directors. at its 100 th session in September 2010. Recruitment will be conducted by a firm selected by invitation to tender for this purpose. The results will be submitted to IFAD for prior notification before publication.

The recruited staff will be linked to the project by an annual performance contract backed by performance indicators; results which will be evaluated each year before renewal of the contract.
