Sponsored by the Archdiocese of Hamburg, a total of 15 schools are operated across the Hamburg city area and are currently being further developed in a future-oriented manner as part of the school development plan. Against this background, the Catholic school Harburg relocated from its previous location on Julius-Ludowieg-Straße to the location of the discontinued Niels-Stensen-Gymnasium on Hastedtstraße 30. On the school area, centrally located in the middle of Harburg, between Hastedtstrasse and Göhlbachtal A modern school building from 2011 with more than 3, 500 m² of usable space as well as a listed fire station used for school and administrative purposes, including an extension and coach house, are grouped around a central school yard. School operations include: a two-stage preschool and a three-stage primary school including a full-day area for a total of 350 students. The 4-story classroom building was adapted to the new primary school use in 2025.
