Tenders are invited for realization of a photo and video report.
Objective
The objective of the mission is to produce a video and photo shoot to promote the action of Solthis through its COVACOM project which aims to improve access to screening for Covid-19 and malaria in rural areas in Mali thanks to the use of rapid tests and the mobilization of community agents.
Presentation of the COVACOM project
The COVACOM project follows on from the ECOVAM and ECOVAN projects which have made it possible to confirm, in Mali and Niger, the usefulness of a screening strategy based on a triage system for all patients who present for consultation in health centers. and carrying out antigen tests for all suspected cases identified in order to improve screening for Covid-19 in structures and contain the spread of the virus.
The COVACOM project in turn aims to support the decentralization of this strategy at community level, among people with a clinical suspicion of Covid-19 and among contact cases, in collaboration with community health workers in 4 health zones in the Fana health district.
In parallel with Covid-19 screening, the COVACOM project offers rapid screening tests for malaria, which is a very common disease in the communities where the project is implemented, especially during the rainy season. The idea is to assess the benefits and impact of rapid screening to improve the management of these two pathologies in adults living in rural areas.
JRI mission and deliverables
Solthis is looking for a service provider who would be interested and motivated to promote such a project. He/She will be required to shoot videos and photos in 2 stages:
Filming the week of September 5 in the Fana region to show how this rapid screening system is implemented
Filming of 2 interviews at the beginning of October to discuss the results of the project
The expected deliverables are:
1 video of 2 min 30 which tells and demonstrates:
the origin that motivated the establishment of this system at community level and what the system consists of
the contribution and advantages of this device at the level of the community, the nursing staff
how this device contributes to improving the national response against Covid-19 and malaria.
Project results
Photos illustrating the device and its implementation: the call of a community agent by a village to carry out a test, his arrival in the village, discussion/consultation with the suspected patient, carrying out the antigen test, etc.
