The Federal Institute for Geosciences and Raw Materials (BGR) intends to commission a scientific plausibility and quality check of existing oceanographic data as well as their structuring and preparation as part of the exploration work on marine polymetallic sulfide fields in the Indian Ocean. In addition, the order includes the scientific interpretation and classification of the prepared oceanographic data and results in the context of sedimentological and biogeochemical processes. The focus of the work that has already been available is the result of the flow meter data that has already been available over the temperature, direction and speed of water masses as well as the data collected by sink falling, wreathwater creators and other devices about temperature, salinity, density and partially available oceanographic information (e.g. PH, redox, cloudy).
