Tender Details

Request for proposals are invited for Qualitative Consultant for Final Study Access to Quality Care through Extending and Strengthening Health Systems (AQCESS).

Subject :

As the AQCESS project ends, an end-of-line study using qualitative methods is being planned. AKF Mali is therefore looking for a qualified company or professional to support the end-of-line process by conducting a qualitative study in its targeted districts. The objective of the qualitative study is to understand the results of the project in the target areas by highlighting and exploring the main interventions carried out by the program. The AQCESS project partners will use the results of the study to reinforce learning and inform future programs.

Scope of work

The final qualitative study will be conducted in the districts of Mopti and Djenné and will focus on three issues: 1) Community Health Association (ASACO) and the Health Committee (COSA); 2) rural maternities; 3) Sustainability of AQCESS activities and results. The final study protocol was developed by the implementing partners and submitted for ethical review. The consultant does not need to develop interview guides.

Community Health Association (ASACO) and the Health Committee (COSA)

We intend to evaluate the functionality, achievements and lessons learned from how the Health Committee Organizations (COSA) and the Community Health Association (ASACO) operate. We will conduct 12 focus groups with COSA and ASACO members in Mopti (n = 5) and Djenné (n = 7). Each FGD will include 8-10 people. In addition, to obtain advice on gender equality and women`s participation in leadership, we will conduct a maximum of 15 telephone interviews with women in leadership positions (President, Secretary or Treasurer) COSA or ASACO.
