Tender Details

The QCMineral project is one of the projects from the quantum computing initiative of the DLR and targets the development of mineral materials and processes for the use of renewable, carbon-neutral energy and fuels as well as for optimizing and developing new onesamorpher Festkoerper (Glaser) und Glaskeramiken. As part of the "Quantum Dynamics Research for Innovative Glass Applications" (Quadriga), which is advertised here, based on the classic HPC simulation of crystalline and amorphous SiO2 (mix), through integration ofQuantum algorithms of powerful QC/HPC hybrid simulations are developed that enable realistic material science problems of industrial material development and optimization in full in atomic simulations. Specific goals of the projectQcmineral Quadriga are: • Classic HPC simulation and hybrid QC/HPC simulations of crystalline, partial amorphous and amorphous SiO2 (mixed) oxides. • Development and embedding of powerful quantum algorithms ( 10³ atoms) in existing industrial program packages for simulation ofPeriodic systems as well as amorphous and partial amorphous material modifications of functional oxide materials (glasses, glass ceramics). • Processing of real material science issues in industrial research and material development based on AB Initio invoices as wellBased on the analysis of existing data through machine learning. Further information can be found in the service description (part 2 of the tender documents).
