Lots: Bone cement with gentamicin. Bone cement with gentamicin Cemex Genta ID Green radiopaque, quick-hardening, medium viscosity, sterile is a two-component (powder and liquid) bone cement made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), which contains and releases the antibiotic - gentamicin sulfate. PMMA bone cement also includes barium sulfate as a radiopaque agent, benzoyl peroxide as a polymerization initiator, monomer (methyl methacrylate) as the main liquid component, NN dimethyl-ptoluidine as a polymerization accelerator, hydroquinone as a stabilizer to prevent polymerization of the liquid during storage and coloring pigments that give the medical product a green color. Green increases the visibility of cement and helps the surgeon distinguish bone tissue from bone cement (E102 Tartrazine Lake or FD&C Yellow NO5 and E133 Brilliant Blue or FD&C Blue NO1). Bone cement is prepared by mixing liquid (16.7 g) and powder (40 g) components. The medical product is sterile, for single use and is suitable for both manual and syringe application. Technical characteristics of the finished mixture: Mixing time: 3.3 min. Hardening time: 9.25 min. Maximum temperature (exothermic effect): 84°C. Average compression force: 100.88 MPa.
