Root crops are fresh, whole, healthy, clean, unwilted, uncracked, without damage by agricultural pests, without excessive external moisture, shape and color typical of the botanical variety, without damage to the shoulders of the root crop, not ugly, without foreign smell, fresh and of proper quality. Root crops that are rotten, wilted with signs of wrinkles, frostbitten, cracked with an open core, or soil stuck to the root crops are not allowed. Products must comply requirements of national standards, and in the absence of them, interstate standards for purchased goods (GOST 26767-85*, GOST 1721-85).
