Public Relations AQD With the implementation of the AquaDuctus project, GASCADE is implementing the first offshore re?hydrogen?pipeline in the German North Sea for AQD and is thus making a significant contribution to the development of an efficient German and... European hydrogen economy. AquaDuctus is designed as a large-scale import infrastructure on a gigawatt scale and is an integral part of the German hydrogen core network as well as a future European interconnected network North Sea region. The AquaDuctus pipeline connects national and European hydrogen production sites in the North Sea region with German and European consumption centers. It therefore contributes significantly to the implementation of the National Hydrogen Strategy the import strategy for hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives and at the same time supports the goals formulated at European level to ramp up the hydrogen economy, such as those set out at the North Sea Summits in Esbjerg, Ostend, Berlin and Hamburg were defined. The North Sea region represents a strategically central region for transporting large quantities of green hydrogen to Germany and Europe in a timely, reliable and cost-efficient manner. The AquaDuctus project is divided into: several sections. AquaDuctus Section 1 includes the connection to the German hydrogen wind farm site SEN1 via an approximately 200 km long offshore pipeline.
