The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) intends to establish a long term contract for the provision of an in-house Training on Managing Media Environment in a Conflict Zone for its staff in Juba, South Sudan as stated herein. Introduction: The objective of the Training on Managing Media Environment in a conflict Zone is to equip UNMISS personnel who have substantive functions with necessary skills and knowledge for communicating with stakeholders develop the capabilities in presentation skills, understand crisis media management techniques enhance interview techniques, improve the ability to write press releases and improve branding strategies. Description of General requirements: 1. The institution that will be contracted to deliver the training in Managing Media Environment in a Conflict Zone shall be an accredited and recognized training institution approved by the relevant standards agency authorizing the conduct of the training and award certificates. 2. The training will be conducted for fifteen (15) staff members for four (4) working days each. The training sessions will be conducted at the UNMISS Base/Camp in Juba, South Sudan. The actual training dates will be determined at the time of solicitation. 3. The Service Provider must use participatory training methodologies and Adult Learning concepts in the delivery of the programme to adequately benefit the trainees. 4. The Service Provider shall be responsible for all travel, accommodation and subsistence allowance arrangements for its trainers. 5. The Service Provider shall be responsible for providing all training materials required in the training including but not limited to manuals and hand-outs to participants as hard copies.
