Expression of Interest are invited for Provision of Solar Home Systems, Mini/Micro-Grids, Energy Kiosks and Hybrids.
Solar Home Systems (SHS), Mini/Micro-Grid using power from Solar Milling Plants for the Zambia Cooperative Federation (ZCF), Energy Kiosk (E-Kiosk) and Hybrids under the Rural Electrification Program in Zambia.
The objective of this program is to facilitate increased access to off-grid electricity services in rural areas through the active participation of the private sector energy service providers (ESPs) in developing, financing, and implementing viable renewable-energy based business models for the provision of rural electrification services in Zambia.
The Rural Electrification Authority (REA) now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in accessing funds under the Off-Grid Rural Electrification Smart Subsidy Program for the provision of solar home systems and solar mini grids. The expected duration of the whole assignment is 4 years.
REA now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested firms should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. Interested firms may obtain further information and guidelines during office hours 08:30 - 12:30 hours and 14:30 to 16:30 hours from the office of Manager Procurement and Supplies, Rural Electrification Authority, Plot No. 5033, Longolongo Road, Post Net Box 349, Private Bag E891, Lusaka, Zambia from 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours local time. Firms will be selected in accordance with commercial practices and selection criteria set out in the provided Application Guidelines.
Sealed Expressions of Interest clearly marked “ExPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR ACCESSING CAPITAL SMART SUBSIDY FOR PROVISION OF SOLAR HOME SYSTEMS AND SOLAR MINI GRIDS “should be deposited in the tender box at Plot No. 5033, Longolongo Road Lusaka, Zambia or submitted electronically to the email addresses stated above not later than Friday, 30th July 2021 at 10:00 hours local time.
The Expressions of Interest shall be opened immediately thereafter in the Boardroom of the Rural Electrification Authority in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.
