The United Nations Logistics Base-Global Service Center (UNLB/GSC) is seeking Expressions of Interest of a qualified contractors for the Provision of One 20ft Containerized Anti-Ballistic Unit (Safe Haven) to be delivered DAP –UNSMIL, Tripoli, Libya. Specifications for 20 foot Anti-Ballistic Containerized (Safe Haven) The 20ft Anti-Ballistic Container unit, minimum ballistic resistance 7.62 AK/NATO munitions, is suitable for international transport. The unit has the capability to quickly and efficiently be deployed worldwide with no specialized set-up required. The unit has a high endurance capacity and designed to keep personnel safe from attackers or threats for extended periods up to a minimum of 4 days following the loss of external power to the unit. The unit has to be fitted with anti-assault features and independent support systems, and might accommodate maximum 12 persons (sleep position). The unit has external appearance of shipping container to disguises the system’s true function of a safe room. The full technical requirements and details will be provided with a formal solicitation document to be issued at a later stage soon after the closing date of this EOI. In order for the Expression of Interest to be considered, the company must be registered with the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) by visiting the website: www.ungm.org.
