Contractors will also be required to provide inland transportation service by road, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), associated labor, warehousing and yard storage, temporary bonded facilities for cross-border movements, customs clearance, and close liaison with various Government authorities to support inland movement of cargo. UNSOS intends to enter a three-year (3) contract with an option to extend for another 1 + 1 year at the sole discretion of the UN, extension of UNSOS-s mandate and satisfactory performance of the vendor.The Contractor shall provide door-to-door transportation of United Nations Owned Equipment (UNOE) and Contingent Owned Equipment (COE) from point-of-origin to different destinations. This sometimes shall require multimodal transport.The types of consignment encompassed by the Services will include military equipment, dangerous goods, vehicles, heavy equipment, UNOE, COE, temperature-sensitive and general cargo, personal effects, and household goods.
