Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH (HEnW) is a 100% municipal energy supplier. In order to achieve the climate goals of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the proportion of coal-based district heating is to be reduced from currently around 64% to zero by 2030. On this The “Tiefstack Transformation (TiTra)” program was initiated. At the Tiefstack combined heat and power plant (HKW) site, two hard coal-fired steam generators are currently generating electricity and district heating in cogeneration operation.
