Request for proposals are invited for Professional Services for the Design and Construction Supervision of the Oxbow Hydropower Scheme.

A non-refundable fee of M 1, 000.00.

The Oxbow Hydropower Scheme works comprise:
 A dam on the Malibamatso River, near Oxbow, approximately 100m high, currently anticipated as RCC;
 Road and services diversion, where the existing A1 national road will be flooded by the reservoir;
 Gated Intake structure and 6.6km long headrace tunnel;
 Portal Valve House and 3.2km long steel penstock;
 Surface Powerhouse with 4 Pelton turbines, 4x23.3MVA generators and associated transformers and
equipment;
 Tailrace Channel;
 Diversion Weir and 4.2 km Transfer Tunnel discharging to ‘Muela reservoir;
 Potential second powerhouse adjacent to ‘Muela reservoir;
 Double 132kV transmission lines to new ‘Muela substation (approximately 6km direct length);
 Associated construction infrastructure including local site access roads, quarries, plant yards, labour
accommodation and other works areas.
